Callahan and Fay Brothers Funeral Homes and Lindquist Lundin Funeral Home are pleased to announce the addition of an experienced licensed funeral director to our staff.
Ronald E. Johnson was first licensed as a funeral director in 1958 after attending the New England Institute of Anatomy. He has taken courses in Public Health Administration at Quinsigamond Community College. Ron owned and operated the former Johnson Funeral Home at 129 Lincoln Street, Worcester from 1958 until 1979. He then joined Caswell-King Funeral Homes as Vice President. Ron joined Nordgren Memorial Chapel in 2003.
Ron and his wife, Melinda, have resided in Paxton since 1965, where they raised their three sons, Ronald Jr., Russell and Ross. They also have 4 grandsons. Ron has served 38 years in the Town of Paxton as a Selectman, member of the Board of Health, member of the Cable Commission, and member of the Paxton Cemetery Commission. Ron was one of the cooperators of the Worcester County Drug Collation and the Worcester County Mental Health Association.
Ron is a member of the Morning Star Lodge of Masons, 32-Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Aleppo Temple, member and past president of the Paxton Lion's Club, past president and treasurer of the Odin Club of Worcester, member and past president of the Wachusett Booster Club, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Nordic Heritage Club.
